E nessuno lo scorderà più (avrebbe detto "V") dopo questa vittoria storica e schiacciante, non stò parlando di cifre anche se imbarazzanti, l'indiscutibile segno di un popolo che ha scelto, ma di ciò che rappresenta, un segno di vero cambiamento, nel 2008 in piena crisi di valori e con la mentalità che arretra anzichè avanzare, il primo presidente dello stato più "potente"  (grazie al numero dei suoi abitanti), è un uomo di COLORE (il famoso "I have a dream.." si è realizzato, in America), un pacifista, persona con dei valori radicati e con le idee chiarissime.
Che dire se non........ Grazie presidente, Spero tanto che riesca a risollevare l'America dalla crisi, dimostrando che anche questo è possibile facendo capire a tutti l'importanza dell'onesta e del rispetto delle regole, nella speranza che il discorso per le primarie (riportato in fondo a questa discussione: ne consiglio la lettura) possa risuonare come un inno alla gioia e la sua vita personale essere da stimolo ed esempio per le generazioni venture........

Discorso Primarie 2008 "YES WE CAN"
È stato un credo, scritto dai padri fondatori, che dichiararono il destino di una nazione.
Sì, noi possiamo.

È stato sussurrato da schiavi e abolizionisti, che tracciarono un sentiero verso la libertà.
Sì, noi possiamo.

È stata cantata da immigrati catturati da lidi lontani e pionieri, spinti verso ovest in uno spietato deserto.
Sì, noi possiamo.

È stata la chiamata di lavoratori che si sono organizzati; donne che hanno ottenuto il diritto di voto; di un Presidente che ha scelto la luna come nuova frontiera; e un Re, che ci ha condotto alla vetta e indicato la strada per la Terra Promessa.

Sì, noi possiamo per la giustizia e l'uguaglianza.
Sì, noi possiamo per la prosperità e l'opportunità.
Sì, noi possiamo guarire questa nazione.
Sì, noi possiamo riparare il mondo.

Sappiamo che la battaglia sarà lunga, ma dobbimo ricordare che non importa quali ostacoli incontreremo nel nostro cammino, nulla può frapporsi al potere di milioni di voci chiedono il cambiamento.

È stato detto che non possiamo farlo da un coro di cinici... saranno solo più forti e stonati... Ci hanno chiesto di fermarci e guardare realtà. Siamo già in guardia contro chi offre al popolo di questa nazione false speranze.

Ma nella strana storia che è l'America, non vi è mai stato nulla di falso nella speranza.

Ora le speranze della bambina che va a scuola in un sobborgo di Dillon, sono gli stessi sogni del ragazzo che studia per le strade di Los Angeles; noi ci ricorderemo che qualcosa è successo in America; che noi non siamo così divisi come ci suggerisce la politica; che siamo un unico popolo; una nazione; e, insieme, inizieremo il prossimo grande capitolo della storia americana con tre parole che risuoneranno da costa a costa, dal mare al mare splendente:
